Born in Taichung, Taiwan, 1994
Lives & works in London, United Kingdom
Mark Chen is a young, Catholic figurative artist who was trained in both traditional academy system and contemporary art schools. After a period of exploring and understanding different aspects of art, he devoted his practice on reviving the excellence of artistic canons, as found in the Hellenistic, Italian High Renaissance and the Victorians. As inspired by the great masters, Mark works primarily from life in Academia style however not neglecting the liturgical aspect of art, which are rooted in his Christian faith.
